I guess I’m not.
The 12th Philnits Certification Exam will be on October 19 , 2008 and it’s barely less than 2 months of preparation. Again, I borrowed the set of reviewing materials from the ADZU CS Dept. Chair, Ms. Ebony, but then today I realized that I have so much things to do aside from this certification exam which will give me the opportunity to work in Japan. Nevertheless, I decided to take the 13th Philnits Exam by next year, April 26, 2009. This will give me ample time to prepare — to finish my thesis, focus on my work loads, and basically taking things by priority. By the way, I already took this exam twice but failed. Maybe it’s not yet for me to pass… haha! or simply not prepared enough to take it. I don’t know… it was that difficult that few only passes this exam. And if you pass, you’ll fly high for sure.
Anyway… it’s our midterm exam week and I have not taken any exams yet. I’ll do my short review tomorrow since it’s holiday (National Heroes Day). And hopefully I can pay my account balance on Tuesday so that I can acquire an exam slip.

Maybe if you stop dragging your feet and study harder instead of spending time on your blog and flickr (these are all trivial). Ano bang priority mo? Makapasa o magkaroon ng magandang blog? If having a great blog that earns you a lot of money is your priority rather than … maybe going to Japan and earning MORE money … then you’r efine. If instant gratification is your priority rather than having a better future, then go ahead, spend more time online and developing your blog … rather than studying so you can pass and perhaps get that real job in the future. It’s your life, not mine.

Hello! I’m taking the October 19 exam. I’m not yet prepared. I work full time already. I don’t think anyone is 100% prepared to take any kind of exam. I just hope my preparations for the past two months are enough. Good luck to all of us.

Hi!
I also took the 12th PhilNITS Exam last October 19, and it was, in a sense, difficult. But it was something familiar for me..hehhe… It was my third try, also, you know. I failed twice sa AM Exam and failed once sa PM, coz i did pass the PM exam last April 2008 …
Alam mo, a month or two is enough to pass this exam, if and only if this is the only thing that you are focusing on…so, ur ryt, finish ur thesis and all ur other personal business.. And when u plan to start ur intense study fo the exam, try to download all previous exams sa PhilNITS and answer all of them, don’t try to pressure ur self by setting timers, take ur time first to understand wat u r trying to answer.. I guess ur always online, so, whenever u find something ur not familiar of, try to search for it while the question is still in ur mind.. It would also be good if u’ll have a group study, share ideas with them and discuss with them certain problems…
The more familiar you are with the kinds of questions they give, the better, coz u only have to deal with the answering, not with the understanding of the question
And, ur planning to pass this exam for you to be able to have a chance to go to Japan, ryt? Hmm… Yes, this is a help.. Don’t you know that there are companies here in the Philippines which also give you a chance to work in Japan? And, some give unlimited chances of taking the PhilNITS exam for free , plus they do the reviews, too…
Well, do good in your studies and may u pass the exam next April!

[P.S.]
it’s not a gurantee that u studied so well, that u will pass..
pero hindi rin ibig sabihin na hindi ka papasa kapag hindi ka nakapag-review nang masyado.. take it from me… this is a case-to0case basis, though…

Confidence my friend is the only key to passing this exam. Actually, you dont need to read so many review materials and it even does not guarantee that no matter how many months you prepared for the exam - you’ll pass. Take it from me…Yeah, its true…I took the exam twice…I passed the afternoon exam when I first took it and passed the morning exam when I last took it. =) On my first try, I wasn’t able to review because we were having a thesis that time, but because of confidence, i passed the afternoon exam(ang school kasi namin ang nagbayad nang exam fees kaya confident ako…ehehe!). On the second try, I wasn’t able to do extensive reviews also because Im workin’ full time (2 weeks na kac nun before Oct 19 nung nalaman ko na nakapasa pala ako sa PM exam). So what I did, for the sake of bringing back what I’ve learned in school, I just tried to read some IT theories found in the previous exams for my last two days prior to the exam. Yet, because of confidence, I passed the morning exam - which made my name to be one of the lists of passers in the PhilNITS exam…And I assure you, hindi yun CHANCES, but its because of my confidence which makes me see the exam questions, EASY! =)
