A Trip to the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet
I was in La Trinidad, Benguet a couple of weeks ago conducting web development training at the ICT Hall of Benguet State University. For the first few days there, I wasn’t able to do the strawberry picking as I wanted because it was always raining in the afternoon after our training. But luckily, it did not rained last March 30, 2011. It was my birthday and wished actually to have a sunny afternoon so I can visit the Strawberry fields which is actually just walking-distance from the campus. Here are some photos taken during the visit at the farmville.

The strawberry fields

I was so excited to try some strawberry picking, they charge Php 200.00 per kilo, more expensive that the regular price at the market (around Php 50.00). Well, I’m okay to pay the amount just for the experience of it and of course, we can choose the strawberries we want.

My basket which is almost full from picking.

Trying to check the young strawberries.

Looks like I am having fun here. It was much fun actually. Thanks for the sunny afternoon.

I also uploaded these photos on my Flickr account, you can check my Strawberry Farm photoset.
The strawberry farm is under the management of Benguet State University. If you wish to visit the farm and try strawberry picking, you can ask the driving to drop you at the last gate of Benguet State University (BSU) or if you’re riding a taxi, you ask have the drive drop you at the farm entrance.
It was a strawberry overload that week. Fresh from the farm and yummy!
