Google-Web-Elements-ChatboardUnveiled by Patrick Chanezon during the recent  Globe + Google Developers Workshop I attended, the Google Web Elements. It is a set of Google products that you can easily customize and integrate in your website or blog. What elements can you add to your site? Well, you can add the following Google products: Calendar, Conversation, Custom Search, Maps, News, Presentations, Spreadsheets and YouTube News.

So, for this demo, I used the conversation element as a chatboard in this blog which is located at the bottom-right panel (see the screenshot).

With this element, you can allow your visitors post a text or video comments using their Friend Connect account. This tool allows you to restrict your conversation just for that site or allow in to be public in others using the embed option. It also has translation to different languages of the messages. What’s nice about the conversation is that it is threaded. Replies are indented and you can easily track the conversation along the way.

To install this tool, click here and customize the settings and copy-paste the javascript code snippet in your website or blog template. You can manually edit the properties of the element like the width and height to match your website or blog settings. Enjoy!
