How to Disable Google+ Instant Photo Uploads
I recently updated my Android phone’s software and then I noticed that all my recent photos taken using my phone was instantly uploaded to my Google+ account. It was kinda shocking because I was not prompted of the option to have it automatically uploaded or was it my fault not checking the settings. It’s scary for those who takes some random photos which is quite sensitive or private (well, although it will be on your private album). At any rate, still scary.
Anyway, to disable this Instant Upload feature, here’s a video on how to do it:
If you have Google+ App installed on your Android phone, please check the settings to make sure you’re safe.

This geek was at Google DevFest Manila 2011!
Yes, this geek was at Google DevFest Manila 2011. I flew to Manila last Sunday to attend the meetup of geeks last Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Conference Center in Makati City.
This is my third year attending DevFest, but now I am a volunteer which was assigned to help at the registration table. With me were my fellow GTUG Philippines members from Manila.
The event proper started a bit late just to accommodate all participants coming in; we have lots of walk-in too!
Christine Songco-Lau, SE Asia Lead for Google Developer Relations, started the program with a short keynote and followed by a couple of morning talks by Ankur Kotwal for Android Market for Developers ) and Bleeding Edge HTML5 by Eric Bidelman. Both topics were really insightful and interesting. Ankur focused on how to maximize the use of the Android Market features for Developers while Eric showed cool stuff with HTML5. Really enjoy his demo. Read more…
