Kyoto Day Tour: Kiyomizu-dera
Kiyomizudera or the Pure Water Temple is one of the famous temple in Japan and obviously a well visited tourist attraction when in Kyoto. It is also one of the many UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Japan. From the main road, we had a long walk going to the main temple but never got tired because of the beautiful scenes around. It’s winter and the cherry blossom trees are bare.

The main hall which is made of wood serves as a stage wherein people can view the cherry blossoms during Spring and Autumn (read more).
Kyoto Day Tour: The Heian Shrine
Continuing with my Kyoto Adventure post, here’s about The Heian Shrine. This was our third stop after visiting Kinkaku-ji and Imperial Palace Grounds in Kyoto. Heian is actually the former name of Kyoto.

From the outside, there’s a giant Torii Gate which welcomes you to the shrine which is just straight ahead. After few steps, you can now see the shrine proper as shown below. With the traditional architecture of the buildings, you will surely feel the old Kyoto. Read more…
How to Disable Google+ Instant Photo Uploads
I recently updated my Android phone’s software and then I noticed that all my recent photos taken using my phone was instantly uploaded to my Google+ account. It was kinda shocking because I was not prompted of the option to have it automatically uploaded or was it my fault not checking the settings. It’s scary for those who takes some random photos which is quite sensitive or private (well, although it will be on your private album). At any rate, still scary.
Anyway, to disable this Instant Upload feature, here’s a video on how to do it:

Visit to Zamboanga Freeport and Ecozone (GameZone and Mar Y Monte Resort)
Last Sunday, Oct 31, 2010, some Mindanao Bloggers who attended the 4th Mindanao Bloggers Summit went to visit the Zamboanga Ecozone and Freeport. The group was graciously invited by Chairman and Administrator Mrs. Georgina P. Yu.
Zamboanga Museum Grounds (Fort Pilar, Zamboanga City)
Photowalk at the Zamboanga Museum Grounds, part of the Fort Pilar in Zamboanga City. It’s a museum, so no picture taking is allowed inside the museum hallway. So, we took photos of the facade and inside grounds of the Museum, Fort Pilar. With me were Laoshi Jen and Laoshi Jill. Here are the photos:

The museum is open Mondays to Fridays from 8:03AM to 11:30AM in the morning and 1:30PM to 4:30PM in the afternoon.
