I Was There: WordCamp Philippines 2010

According to the organizer, Avatar Media, the WordCamp Philippines 2010 took them 11 months of preparation. But after all their hard-works and sleepless nights, the event was a huge SUCCESS! Around 300+ campers attended; even the WordPress creator, Matt Mullenweg, was there.

It was the most awaited event for most WordPress users in the Philippines (obviously, hehe.) This is the 3rd WordCamp Philippines, I attended the WordCamp PH 2008 but was not able to make it last year.

Anyway, I signed up for the developers track for the breakout session since I classify myself a ‘developer.‘ I learned new things with this track — some cool tips on WordPress hacks from Elaine and Colin (they’re from Singapore!), some customization tips from Jonas (the creator of the famous Facebuko.com) and some more technical stuff with server optimization from Eric.
