Just got my Globe Visibility Prepaid Kit!

Posted on October 6, 2008, under Gadgets, Tech Tips, Technology News

The nature of my work requires me to stay online as much as I could. I am a Web Developer/I.T. Consultant and a blogger (b5media). And, being online is already my necessity. At school, we have free WiFi Access. At home, I am connected via SmartBroadband. I sometimes stays in local cafes like Mr. Bean Cafe at Catribo Complex, CoffeeMyx at Nunez Ext., or 3rd Cup Cafe along Camins Ave. where they have free WiFi Access as well, when I feel exhausted working from home. I usually stay at Mr. Bean Cafe, my remote office aside from my home office. Sometimes, when WiFi connection is down, I feel disconnected as well. I can’t just rely to these and needs backup.

Also, during my recent travel to Manila , it costs me Php 100/hr using the Globelines Broandband WiFi Access. I was unsuccessful spotting a free WiFi area but requires me to purchase WiFi Access hour especially at Starbucks, Seattle’s Best and Coffee Bean.

At Seattle’s Best (SM MOA)

Last Friday, I purchased the Globe Visibility Prepaid Kit at the Globe Business Center here in Zamboanga City. It costs me around Php 2500 and I initially loaded it with Php 300 load. It was Php 4000 ( doesn’t know the exact price) months ago and now they are having a promo.

Well, having the kit with me, I immediately tested it inside the center. It works great! With Globe Visibility, I can now work anytime, anywhere, especially that I will be having out of town travels scheduled in the coming months. Globe Visibility uses Globe signal using GPRS, EDGE and 3G/HSDPA. It is a USB Wireless Modem powered by ZTE Corporation. It works like the regular phone where you need to insert the SIM card to the USB device.

Surfing the internet will cost you Php 5/session. 1 session = 15 minutes. That means you surf for Php 20/hr. Not bad at all. For more information, please check their official website at:

kadadating lang ng globe visibility kit ko kahapon and i tried it in differrent areas. Malakas siya kapag may 3g signal at mabagal siya kapag gprs signal ginamit. nso far para sakin recommended ko siya lalo na sa city kasi malakas ang 3g signal.
