twitter.pngI have been actively participating in the Twitter Community recently. While enjoying sharing what I am doing at work, school and even just surfing around online or posting some blog entries, I also get updates of my friends latest news ( like what are they also doing, eating, watching, etc…) and even current events and public news. My personal network have grown quite by numbers and still adding more by following other Twitterers.

Why Am I using Twitter?
Personally, Twitter serves as some sort of an outlet for my emotions and share it to the world, as if I want someone to listen to me. And effectively, it somehow relieves my feelings. Twitter, being a social networking site, is really a great venue to find and know your friends.

How Am I using Twitter?

  • wordpress-logo.jpgWordpress, being the world’s famous blog platform, is what I am using here. It offers easy-to-install widgets and plugins for tweaking blogsite’s functionalities and one of my favorite’s the Twitter Tools WordPress Plugin.

This plugin creates an integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account. Pull your tweets into your blog and create new tweets on blog posts and from within WordPress.

  • Twitter allows direct messages posting over the web via its homepage . Once you are logged in your account, you can post message instantly. The image below is what the interface looks like.

  • I also use GTalk to post some messages over Twitter. When you have your GTalk Online over the desktop or via Gmail, you can add twitter@twitter.com as you buddy and once you have something to post, just send a direct instant message and viola! it will appear on your Twitter Profile page.

  • Sometimes, I use Twinja which is a desktop Twitter client built on AIR. It works for both PC and Mac once Adobe AIR is installed in your computer.

Twinja is an amazing online application that empowers you with the functionality of Twitter.com from your desktop! It’s easy to use and works on both Mac & PC. Download here and get Twinja-ing!!

  • For Mac users out there, you can also try Twitterific:

twitterrific_icon.jpgTwitterrific is a fun application that lets you both read and publish posts or “tweets” to the Twitter community website. The application’s user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac’s desktop.

I hope this is helpful and will boost you to do tweeting…. Enjoy!
