Well, why join WordCamp Philippines 2008? Firstly, I am a Wordpress blogger… I have been since 2004. This blog uses Wordpress as its blog platform. I also wanna meet my fellow bloggers, meet some colleagues, and learn new things from the speakers. I wanna meet Matt Mullenweg in person, the developer of Wordpress. I wanna learn new things about blogging and the use of Wordpress beyond blogs.
This event won’t be organized without the help of the following sponsors:
Hope to see you there as well… visit their official website at http://philippines.wordcamp.org
Cuil, the latest search engine, is making a buzz over the web today. It is over the news sites and blogs. Might as well share my review about this Cuil thing. Is it cool? Let’s find out.
The Core Technology: Search

As for now Cuil provides keyword search. Yes, no image search, no news search, no directory search.. just KEYWORD search. I know that it’s just their initial public offer and more will be offered soon. Anyway, back to search…. in terms of results? Compared to Google, I prefer much the results of Google as it shows relevant results. Maybe it’s with their indexing algorithm that matters. Cuil may have more websites indexed and spidered; populated in their database, but still relevant result counts most to search engine users. Right? I hope they will improve this area soon.
Today, I dropped by Waltac (a store and clinic for pets) here in Zamboanga. I shopped for a toy, comb and tie for my adorable labrador, Wyatt. And, here’s some picture taken during his first hand with his toy, which is something he can bite. It’s colorful, and safe for pets. It costs around Php 100.

As far as I read from reliable sources, grooming a Labrador is minimal.
My mom was already complaining about Wyatt’s hair as it is all over the bedroom’s floor. So, I bought a new comb to shed it. The comb was effective and just after few brushing, Wyatt now has a smooth hair. Heheh… Here’s a proof:

Yup, that’s his hair. The brush is called slicker brush. Made up of tiny hooks of metal. It costs around Php 150. I also bought a bath soap for dogs (around Php 56) and a 15 ft tie (Php 200).
Along with my shopping, I asked the vet how much they charge for regular canine vaccine and it costs Php 300 while the anti-rabbies costs around Php 170. I also asked how much is their dog food per kilo… Php 70/kilo of HiPro dog food.
Yikes! I never expected having a puppy costs me this much. It’s like having my own baby! =)) But I just love Wyat… what can I do but pamper him and treat him well.
Will be dropping by Waltac Clinic early next week for some vaccine.

Unveiled in Sydney this week is the world’s smallest pocket projector, as what is claimed by Mint Trading Pty Limited manufactured by Aiptek.
Mint V10 is expected to be in the market this coming September 2008 at a retail price of $649 (inc. GST). Its size is only 125 x 55 x 23mm and it projects a range up to 50″ in size from 1.8m away.
“The V10 pocket projector has achieved significant interest amongst some of Australia’s largest retailers and we are discussing commercial arrangements with retailers now. We expect sales of the pocket projector to be high, particularly as we approach the Christmas period. There is nothing like the pocket projector on the market today - it is a true hybrid product that can be used for both business and leisure. Given the success of devices such as the iPhone, we expect the projector will fit well into this market,” according to Alex Teoh, CEO, Mint Wireless.
