I recently had a problem with my Paypal Withdrawal to my Unionbank EON Visa Account. It is taking more than 5 days already and the status is still Pending, not the usual time I wait from my previous withdrawal transactions. I already emailed customer support and let them address this issue but for 3 days now, no one answered my 4 queries.
Earlier today, I received an email from Paypal announcing their new offer of letting their Philippine customers withdraw banks directly to their bank account, not just for Unionbank EON Visa alone. Just the last quarter of 2007, they offered funds withdrawal only to Unionbank EON Visa account holders. And I had a smooth transactions with it, not until recently which I do not know what exactly is happening.

Reading some blogs, I stumbled Mike Abundo’s entry about this new service Paypal is offering to their Philippine customers. He says about a problem encountered with Unionbank customer service, of not giving their bank SWIFT codes… again, if you wish to opt to withdraw funds to your local bank account with Paypal, you can see the lists of Philippine Banks SWIFT codes here.

1Hi.
I too have pending Paypal withdrawals made on January 24th which upto now is still on Pending. And also, no email replies. If you have a business and if cashflow is important to you, you can get cripped by this paypal pending withdrawals.

2Yes. It is really annoying now and gets into my nerves. Just when I really need the funds for bill payments then they screw up…

3You’re not the only one, I am too. I think it is just a way to keep onto the money longer. I was going to call them if it wasn’t resolved in another day or so.

5My withdrawal was also on January 24th. Do you think that some glitch happened on that day? It usually takes a maximumm of 2 days for the “pending” to become “completed” but it has been more than 5 days already and the status is still “pending” and of course, the money is not in our accounts!
Wow, this does not look good for Paypal. I am sure that there are many many others that have the same problem too.

6Exactly, seems 24th was the day. They should contact all of us now and clear things up. I am really upset now about this. My bills are due tomorrow and I need the funds already.
Have you tried calling? I called last night and I was answered by an automatic operator, no resolution with phone calls and emails.

7I know what you mean. I too am desperate for cash since the money inside paypal which is pending is used for my small business. Now my business cannot run because of this pending withdrawal.
I am going to call up Paypal but of course this will add additional long-distance charges.
This is simply not good.

10That’s a helpful link Marco but they should address the problem properly with their customers. After a week of no communication or just notification, this is not tolerable anyhow.

12It’s cheaper to download Skype, load $10 onto the account from your paypal account then call them up. Like 3 cents a minute to call paypal.
Mine was made on the 27th and is still pending.

13No luck yet. Still pending. It could take months for us to get our money. I’ve been reading bad things about Paypal. They take people’s money and hostage this to earn interest. Imagine if they do this to thousands of people?
No replies to emails. They have the worst customer service ever! They will reply after 2 weeks to 1 month. They don’t care if we get our money or not as long as it is with them.
Very disappointing that we Filipinos were excited about Paypal to uplift our business but the fact is, Paypal is bad for business. I prefer using Xoom.com really!

14I too got some problems with my EOn credit card withdrawal until now the status was also still pending and I have done my withdrawal on the 28th of January . I wonder if there is some problems with VISA or they are holding massive withdrawal at the moment because of what is going on with US economy?. It might be the reason of sudden problems or perhaps because of there introduction of newer features as well causes this problems.

17hi guys. i am experiencing the same problem. I also withdrew funds last January 24, 2008. I feel a little bit relieved knowing it’s happening to many people not only to me but when will paypal fix this problem. I don’t want to withdraw my funds now not until the other withdrawal is completed. But it’s been over a week and its pretty annoying. I need the money badly. Check out my post about my withdrawal.

19I have tried adding another new account from equitable. It took 1 day for the status to change from Pending to Completed. Now, I’m waiting for 5 days if the money will go to my bank account.
I have a paypal transfer in January 24 and 31st to my EON card. LIke everybody else, the status is pending until now.
Bye the way, I did the transfer to my Equitable Card on the 31st also. I’m suspecting this is a problem with EON and Paypal ONLY.
