Yes. That was my dream when I was still in high school. I loved Biology, Chemistry, and my super duper favorite subject – Physics. I studied a lot on these subjects. Like I joined every contest we had in school. I enjoyed doing laboratory works. It was a passion I have that I savor everything and anything about it. Yes. Simple lang, ako’y naging isang adik sa murang edad.
This I remember: In a Physics Quiz Bowl – Regional Level (naks! hambugero… haha) I participated, I contested the quiz master on why my answer is wrong. That I was so assertive that my answer is correct but they want to use the exact value of some ewan on that given problem. Luckily, no one got the answer.
Now, how did I end up with computers? Hmmm…

I was invited to be the resource speaker for yesterday’s seminar at school about Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The seminar is part of the month long celebration of ADZU SCITECH MONTH and SIMO ’08. I was nervous at the start but managed to get along with the crowd few minutes later. I just hope that they learned something from the talk I gave.

Ni hao ma?
Ateneo de Zamboanga University finally offered a foreign language course this school year. Initially, they have offered us Mandarin Chinese classes for this semester. I am not Chinese and never had any background about this language except for some Chinese friends I have. Now, I can call them peng you. That’s what they call friends in Mandarin.
After spending more than 2 months attending my Monday and Wednesday Mandarin class, which is actually 1 1/2 hours per meeting, I am satisfied with my learning progress. After learning the pinyin, tones and pronunciations, I managed to take the long written exam and our midterm oral exam which I took late because I was not that confident enough to take it. Of course I have to take it and I did with just a deductin of 10 points because I’m late to take the oral exam. Weew! I ended up just fine. It was not that difficult as what I was expecting, actually it was easy.. I ended up having 92-10=82% for midterms… Sayang! But I am okay with that.

Well, another month just past and it was a hectic August had been. But time to face new endeavors, and I just hope that September would be much exciting and fun.
So, what basically I am looking forward to accomplish this month? Let me list them out.
- Attend the 1st WordCamp Phillipines, and it’s really happening this Saturday (Sept. 6, 2008). Excited!
- Do serious food trip when I’m in Manila and of course visit some random places.
- To finally meet with fellow organizers and volunteers for the 1st Zamboanga Peninsula Bloggers Meetup to do some serious planning.
- Looking forward to award the ‘Ultimate Winner’ of my bloggers contest. If you want to join, please submit your entries now! Hehehe or else… wala lng.
- Prepare for the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) seminar for the ADZU SciTech Month.
- Create and design my own WordPress template for this blog. Para naman may personal touch… I have been planning this since but can’t find time.
- Finish the outline for the web designing book I am planning to author (ambisyon! hahahah). Actually, two books. One for introduction to web designing and the other one is for Web Development with PHP/MYSQL. Malufet! (ambisyon ulet! hahahaha)
- As always, be more productive at work; to finish tasks on time while blogging more! Hehehe.
- Not to forget, to finish my thesis proposal draft (para makapag-initial defense naman ako… huhuhu)!
- and finally…. SIMO is coming and I will do the spelunking adventure!
Anything may happen along the way and may change plans. Well, I’ll wish myself the best!

Woaah! Another great reason why I’m excited this month of September to come.
I am for one, a member of the ADZU CSITAO because I’m a BSCS student of course. I am greatful that the organizers prepared ample activities for students and faculty to enjoy this month-long event. Not to mention a very interesting posters for promotion. I just love the beautiful concept…
The College of Science and Information Technology Academic Organization (CSIT-AO) of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) is an umbrella organization that houses several student organizations under the college. The Ateneo Biological Society (ABS), Ateneo Informatics and Computing Guild (AICG), Ateneo – Engineering Society (ES), and the Math Circle (EmC2) are all part of the CSIT-AO.
