Be Resorts Mactan, unplanned visit…

Yesterday, a friend asked me to go with them since one of our batch-mate in college visited Cebu City for the weekend to attend her sister’s wedding. We don’t really have a plan where to go. We met at Ayala Terraces, Cebu. They had lunch before we headed first to Mactan Shrine. Our initial itinerary for the short-day trip that is within our budget was Mactan Shrine, Magellan’s Cross and the Sto. Nino Church.

After our Mactan Shrine visit, I suggested that we pass by Be Resorts Mactan (since it’s near) to get a drink perhaps and do some picture taking since the place is nice as I saw it from some photos shared by some blogger friends. So, we went to check it out. Here are some photos:

I miss the beach! I miss Moalboal! Visited Moalboal, Cebu last summer to enjoy the season with Moalboal’s white sand beach. I’m planning to take another weekend trip soon. Before going back there soon, I browsed one more time the beauty of Moalboal White Sand beach through the photos taken during the last trip. Enjoy the photos!

An Open Letter to the Snatcher of my Xperia Mini

Dear Snatcher,

Sorry if I wasn’t able to write this letter soon or even locate you after you stole my Xperia Mini last August 20, 2010 around 3:00PM. Remember that day when we were in that jeepney going to Ayala from Crown Regency? I was so busy that day, occupied with many tasks and I don’t wanna mess up my schedule. But don’t get me wrong, I tried to locate you where you went down, near the church in Escario Street, Cebu City.  Lucky you I gave up running after you because it was a busy Friday and there were too many people in that area.

So I went home and did not report for work because of you. I immediately called Smart Communications to do incoming/outgoing barring for that line. They did. And I went to their Wireless  Service Center in SM Cebu to have my SIM card replaced coz I need that line back immediately. And they replaced it after an hour. I wasn’t able to report it to National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) because it was already late in the afternoon and offices were closing and it was a Friday. I left the issue behind and did not let it affect me much because I need to prepare my stuff first and do some backlogs before traveling to Zamboanga City that weekend. It was my mom’s birthday last Saturday and GTUG Zamboanga Meetup last Sunday. It was a pretty hectic short weekend vacation and I also need to prepare for the training I had this week. Di ko na lang muna inintindi ang ginawa mo sa akin kasi baka mawala ako sa wisyo ko, kaya lucky you! Not lucky me!

A Visit to Cebu Taoist Temple

I visited Cebu Taoist Temple with friends right after we arrived from our short Bohol trip. This is one of the famous tourist destinations here in Cebu. If you’re in Cebu City, you can ask the taxi driver to drive you to the place. No other public vehicles can get in the compound. There’s no entrance fee but you are limited inside for only an hour to accommodate other tourists.

Built in 1972, the Cebu Taoist Temple is located in Beverly Hills Subdivision in Cebu City. The temple was built by Cebu’s substantial Chinese  community. With an elevation of 300 meters above sea level, the temple is a towering, multi-tiered, multi-hued attraction accessible by three separate winding routes. [ source ]
