Food Trip at Lachi’s Sans Rival Atbp.

I was in Davao City last week for a training. Going out of town is fun, not only because of the new places you visit but also the foods to enjoy. I heard so much about this small shop that offers really good food in Davao -  Lachi’s Sans Rival Atbp. So I did not missed the chance to visit and try it.

Ria, a blogger friend from Davao, generously accompanied me for dinner and I asked for her suggestions on what to try first. So I had this Unforgettable Grilled Pork Ribs and a slice of Sans Rival while she had the Roast Pork and the Cherry Cheesecake.

Interactive Web Development Training (with NCC and LGUs) in Davao City

I was again invited by National Computer Center (NCC) to do the same Web Development training I handled last August in Cebu City.  It was my pleasure doing the training again and around thirty (30) participants attended the training from different Mindanao local government units  (LGUs).

The training was held at PhilNITS Davao, 5th Floor,  DTI-RXI Office, Mintrade Building, Monteverde-Sales Streets, Davao City last September 27-30, 2010. Read more…

Davao’s Kangaroo Coffee

Visiting places won’t be exciting without foodtrip! Since I am in Davao City right now, I visited Kangaroo Coffee Company located at Tionko Corner V. Mapa Street, Davao City. My local friends usually hangout and enjoy good food at this place. So I need to check it out and try their foods. It’s actually a coffee shop but they also offer some delicious rice meals.

The place is cozy. They have a book shelve  with books free for read. They also have a small function room wherein you can do a private meeting or presentation.

Durian Sculpture in Davao International Airport

If you’re visiting Davao, don’t forget to check this famous Durian Sculpture outside the Davao International Airport. Just the guard around if you can’t locate it easily but it’s near the taxi lane.  As Durian fruit is plenty in Davao, this landmark serves as an icon to Davao’s popular fruit. The Durian Sculpture is a masterpiece of the versatile artist Kublai Millan.

Davao’s Eden Nature Park

I arrived last Sunday in Davao City to conduct a training. Before my travel, I checked out some places where I can visit during Sunday since the training will start Monday, the next day. First, I decided to visit the People’s Park, but I was too early to visit the park at around 10am. The park opens at 1pm during Sundays. My bad not knowing the schedule.

So I decided to go back to the hotel and planned to visit Eden Nature Park and Philippine Eagle Center. I asked friends around about the travel time to those places, and they said that it’s quite far. Read more…
