Synch your Social Network status updates with Ping.fm
I personally manage accounts from different social networking sites. I have account with Plurk, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, etc. But I do not update them frequently except for my Facebook and Plurk, as most of my friends are online with those networks.
Recently, I realized that there might be a way to synchronize my status updates, and there is a way – Ping.fm. I did signed up and immediately linked my social network account to my Ping.fm account. I had my Twitter, Facebook, Plurk and LinkedIn accounts synchonized in updating status, as shown in the screenshot below.

With this trend, innovative services via SMS is delivered to consumers for entertainment, business and other information-driven services. Even internet services can now be accessed via SMS. Updating your Plurk and Twitter timeline? You can do that with just an SMS away… that’s blogging instantly!
I was using GTalk to update my Twitter and was sad to know that they disabled their IM service via GTalk. So, I stopped updating my Twitter. Just yesterday, I tried Plurk — another micro-blogging service. It’s cool… just similar to Twitter and Pownce.

Micro-blogging service is becoming more popular. They are usually text updates, around 140 text, of any thoughts you want to share to your online community. They can be updated via email, SMS, from the web or 3rd party applications developed by some contributors. Also, common to all is that they offer widgets and tools that allow you to embed your micro-blog timeline updates. That’s why I have them in this blog site, a blog with micro-blogs.
