Windows 7 RC Reminders

So, have you tried Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) yet? If not, you can still download it until today, August 20, 2009. After which, you can still have it but might require you to get a product key. Since this is still under the “Release Candidate” status, which means it is still under testing and bug fixing stage, your PC automatically sends information about bug reports to the team of Microsoft.

Windows 7 RC will expire by June 1, 2010 but the system will start reminding you about the expiration notice as early as March 1, 2010.

Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You’ll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use. Read more…
