The Philippine blogging community is celebrating its 3rd year awarding the most famous, most admired, most creative, and informative blogs by Filipinos in various categories. The 2009 Philippine Blog Awards is set this 9th of October, 2009 at the Megatent Events Venue at 30 Meralco Avenue, Bgy. Ugong, Pasig City. This year’s theme is “One Blogging Nation“. This event is organized by the Philippine Blogger Awards Inc., a non-stock and non-profit corporation.
There are new categories introduced this season which includes Podcast, Videocast, Humor, Fashion, Gaming, Advocacy, and Beauty. Click here for the complete list of the main categories. Of course, special awards are still for grabs to those who deserves it, click here to view the list.
Here’s how to nominate:
- The nominee has to signify his or her intention to join here.
- The nominee will receive a link to the nomination form that needs to be filled out.
- The nominee will then receive an email with a code that needs to be pasted on his sidebar or post.
- This completes the submission and nomination process.

So, if you own a blog or knows someone who blogs and has a blog up before June 1, 2009, you can nominate it. By the way, there will also be a Philippine Blog Awards in Visayas and Mindanao.
